Is it in any way remarkable to be named Georg Müller?
No!!
Is it an honour, a merit or something special to walk over this planet with the name Georg Müller?
No, not at all!
So why to make a fuss about it, why a homepage?

Actually, everything goes back on a language seminar in the winter semester of 2000/2001, in which I participated and in that we among other things discussed the peculiarities and the frequency of german family names.
A participant, who had an additional job in a call center and thus had access to special software, determined the Germany-wide frequency of the names of all seminar participants.
Although I knew that Müller is the most frequent german surname, I was nevertheless surprised, when I heard that there are several thousand Georg Müller in Germany. I remember that this imagination affected me unpleasantly on the one hand and made me very curious on the other hand - the imagination of hundreds of people which are called exactly the same like me: Georg Müller. It feels extra strange because I hardly know anybody who at least has the first name Georg.

In the spring 2004 I made my first HTML-tries. Both the fun with it and the falling Web space prices gave birth to the idea of an own homepage. But of course It wasn't my intention to block up the WWW with one of these uniform and topicless self-manifestation homepages.
It should be something that fully exhausts the potential of this fantastic medium WWW. Something, which actually becomes realizable by the WWW.
And nearly automatically that old curiosity emerged again: who are the other Georg Müllers out there?
People which has nothing in common with me but the names, initially.
Actually a completely arbitrary and coincidental uniformity.
Nevertheless or exactly therefore I'm fascinated by this idea of a virtual meeting of my namesakes.
